The T-shirt Launch of Hope-FX2 – A Great Success!

A huge thank you to everyone at North London Foundation Trust and Fashion-Enter / FashionCapital for helping make the Hope-FX2 T-shirt launch a brilliant success on Tuesday 2 September 2025.

A shop transformed in Finsbury Park

The Fashion-Enter shop, 113–115 Fonthill Road, Finsbury Park, North London, was transformed to showcase seven inspiring T-shirt collections created during the six-month Hope-FX2 programme. Participants learned to use a range of industrial sewing machines, designed their own T-shirts, and produced unique swing tickets as part of the marketing brief.

Professional photoshoot support

With thanks to Motherlight (Norv and Josie), the group completed a central-London photoshoot. Motherlight shoots for leading brands including Gieves & Hawkes, bringing industry-level polish to the work on display.

Event day highlights

From 10am, participants merchandised their ranges—preparing rails, styling mannequins and applying point-of-sale. The FEL team lined up extra machine and design tasks, but the morning flew by creating a window-worthy display across the shop’s prime frontage.
After lunch the doors opened to friends, family and Trust colleagues. The atmosphere was electric—one participant arrived with four sisters—and the shop quickly filled with supporters.

Sales, IP and learning the business of fashion

The tills rang and sales followed. While FEL funded the printing as part of the programme, copyright and IP remain with each participant. Net sales (minus VAT) are returned to the designers—an essential real-world lesson in fashion business fundamentals.

A message from Jenny Holloway

“Seeing so many happy faces at the shop was the penultimate climax of Hope-FX2. This programme differed from the first, but the outcome was excellent for everyone. We’ll keep in touch with each participant—starting with a free upcycling class on Tuesday 9 September 2025. We welcome young people transitioning from primary to secondary care and Early Intervention teams.” — Jenny Holloway, CEO, Hope-FX & Fashion-Enter/FashionCapital

What happens next

T-shirts remain on sale until the end of September, after which accounts will be reconciled and funds transferred. Participants can collect their remaining stock at any time.
